Life it seems has a mind of its own. I have not blogged, but will try to do a weekly update on this blogsite.
All is well... Dave has two practices left with his JV football team. The team is 6-3 on the year and have beaten two county rivals: Crest and Shelby. WE hope to continue county dominance with a victory of Burns Thursday night. I will let you know the outcome.. if they win, Dave has to wear a banana suit and do a Banana dance....
We had a nice birthday dinner on Sunday for me and Lee... at the ole standby El Acapulco.... Last night Dave took me to eat Italian on my official 39th birthday. Yep, I admit.. am 39 and one day!!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner so we are looking forward to having a great time... the planning begins!!

Haven't posted in the while again.. duh
Ok, school drives me crazy... I never seem to have enough time in the day!!! I am going to try to do better...
All is well.... we are a month into school and it's been wild.
Dave's JV football team in 1-2 on the season. WE are hoping for the same turnaround they had last year at this time. They are playing well and Dave is pleased so it will be positive no matter what the outcome. Those kids have to learn to play hard, clean, and not give up.
My new school is different, but good. Had a good first couple of weeks and am enjoying the new building. I have not been able to retire the space heater as it's generally cold in the building!! I have had tons of meetings after school and haven't done my best getting back to the gym as I had planned, but once things settle down I hope to be better.
Dave and I both were accepted into the history grant again- that's how we met two years ago- and we will take a week long trip to Kansas City and New Orleans next June. Never been to Kansas City- even though Momma got pregnant with me while she and Daddy lived there -- so am excited to see a new place!!!

It's the night before
It's 10:38 PM the night before our wedding...
We have had such a whirlwind going on these past couple of days..... it's been so nice to combine the families and wow, how easy it's been. We had a big family dinner on Wednesday, my shower on Thursday, and tonight the rehearsal and dinner.
My daddy paid for dinner tonight and I just don't know how to thank him and Momma enough.... Regardless of anything, I have the most wonderful and supportive parents.... ones who always believed in me and encompassed me with love.... I know that now.... I won't stop being me, but always know I love you both too much for words....
Dawn's adventure getting here is over... after spending the whole day at the Little Rock airport on Thursday, she arrived in Charlotte safe and sound today... I am so blessed she came all the way here to be in my wedding. Once again, Dawn, YOU are my hero.
Dave, you finally read this thing the other day.... and now, on the night before I marry you, I want to again tell you how AWESOME you are... I love you so much and can't imagine not looking at you sleeping for the rest of my life. I love you.
To all others who might read this, in about 14 hours I become the wife of one Dave Minnich... and he is the love of my life....

To my sister Julie...... I am sorry that I have not been the sister I should have been. I thank you from the botton of my heart for your love, patience and understanding. I have no words for how much I love you.... you make me proud everyday to be YOUR sister. I am nothing without you in my life-- regardless of what I say. I love you...
To my new family - the Minnichs or Midgets as Caitlin says. Thank you for accepting me and allowing me to marry your son, brother, brother in law, and uncle..... I have felt nothing but love since the minute I met all of you....

13 days to go
We are now under two weeks to go and a lot has to be done. Nothing major but some lose ends here and there. We will write some checks this week and make final decisions on a couple of ideas that I have to make up my mind about. The wedding favors arrived yesterday and I am well please with them... I have to print the information sheets and put the goodie bags together for our hotel guests..... I just have to manage my time and work everything in... I admit I like to waste time!! lol...
It's a short week for both Dave and I as we have workshops on Thursday and Friday. But that means getting work together for a sub which is not as easy at it seems. Dave has two games this week: Monday @ Crest and Friday @ West Lincoln.... I am going to one, but not the other!
We are going to the Sabres hockey game on Saturday with Don. It's also my momma's birthday and we are planning on taking her out on Sunday somewhere....

19 days and counting...

Things are moving right along.... we have been busy and it's been tough for me to blog so I am glad to be able to blog today.
Baseball season starts tomorrow for real... Dave will have 2 games a week until May ... he's only going to miss one game due to the wedding. I am excited and will be more excited once the weather is warm for good!!!
We went to Wilmington to attend the baptism of one of Dave's friend's son... it was in the Greek Orthodox Church. Very beautiful and nice.
I met today and settled with the ceremony music.... so now I can work more on the wedding program... I am very well pleased with the music... I think it will be very nice. We also settled with reception music last week so things are coming together....
This is a picture of the bouquets that I made for Courtney and Caitlin... wish I had made them all now!!!

Snow...we had actual snow!

We woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground at our house and a day off due to cancelled school... to the Northerners, I know you must be laughing right now, but keep in mind, this is the South! Shelby has seen zero snow in four years so that was very pretty to see. Murphy was a little freaked about it and I can tell his age - last time and the times before he ran and played, but yesterday, he didn't really want to go out at all. Dave left for his golf trip about 2 yesterday and will return on Monday evening so it's just me for the weekend... well, me and the Murph man.... I am going to pick up my dress today as it is done. I got word that Dawn got fitted for her dress yesterday and it will be done in two weeks. Now if Julie's dress will get in!!
8 weeks to go....

The Invitations are OUT
Well, they are stuffed and mailed. We got the invitations mailed on Wednesday- which is a day after I intended, but it was more of a problem with logistics. Dave and I had a lot of fun going through and placing stamps and licking all the envelopes. We have already received several responses so it seems like this little wedding is growing daily.
The wedding annoucement was in the Dunkirk, NY paper today. Here is a link to it:

We talked to the music director at church today and are set to meet with Father Kottar in February.

First Christmas with the Minnich Clan

It's been a while but getting back to work was tough for me following the holidays. We spent a week in New York celebrating Christmas with the Minnich clan. What a great time... there was SNOW!!!! I was so excited to see it- I haven't seen that much in four years! We drove up on Sunday and even got to listen to the Browns game on the way up (they lost and blew the playoffs). We attended a Christmas Eve mass and had dinner with Laura, Rich, and the girls. The next day was wild. Christmas with kids is what I have been missing!!!
We did some wine tasting on Wednesday and Friday. I enjoyed 'girls only' shopping on Thursday and now own a Fredonia State hoodie!!!
What a great Christmas .... check out pics of the snow and the girls playing with Uncle Dave!
